"A dream come true" As a child and teenager, I would always have a sleepless night before any field trip or excursion, because it was so exciting that I experienced my trips before, during, and after (even until now).
My decision was already made—I went to the Central University of Ecuador and earned my degree as a Bachelor in Ecotourism.
Now, I am proud to be the owner, together with Leonor, of my own Travel Agency here in Quito, Ecuador.
My father used to say, "you only want to be out on the streets." And it was true—I was the most outgoing one, I loved exploring every corner of my city. Well, that was during my teenage years, since I was drawn to the idea of being a hippie.
My parents "guided me" (according to them) to study accounting in high school. I did it, earned my diploma, but unfortunately, I never liked it.
I met Mónica when I had my boyfriend, now my husband—he introduced us, and we connected right away. Soon after, she proposed that we start a travel agency. I liked traveling, but I can honestly say I started from scratch. From then on, the word travel just kept echoing in my mind, and boom… now I truly enjoy this passion.
I always seek an authentic connection. With over 10 years in the tourism world, I can sum it up like this: "I was born to connect Ecuador's culture and biodiversity with our national and international visitors."
Educating and guiding others about sustainable and responsible tourism gives true meaning to my life's purpose. I already have 11 years of experience in this beautiful job… the best one!
